WebStationIndia adhers to Capability Maturity Model for Software (CMM), a framework that describes the
key elements of an effective software process, and is currently undergoing the training and
assessment process for level 1 certification.
We have four key software development processes- Analysis,
Plan, Develop and Maintain.
Requirement Capture- The functionality and business
logic of the software to be developed are first of all understood
through conducting a series of meeting with the key people
of the client and/or the people who would actually be using
the application.
Project management process- According to the business
needs, client's requirements and characteristics of a particular
project, delivery model, team setup and delivery schedule
is decided. For example, where justified, RAD (Rapid Action
Development) is used which has a different setup.
Proactive Risk and Contingency Plan- Offshore development,
though most cost-effective, has its inherent risks. Resource
failure or sudden negetive developments, e.g., Security
or virus attack, server crash, key people leaving the organization
etc., may push the entire sotware development process to
a sudden crisis, which may lead to increasing costs, delivery
delay or worse, loss of the project. Prior to development,
in the analysis phase only, we identify and define the probable
risks, make a contingency recovery document and update and maintain
it throughout the life cycle of the project.
